General FAQ
Are your rates competitive?
The rates we offer are cheaper than
most long distance carriers such as AT&T, MCI, Sprint, etc.
You will find our services much more affordable and convenient
than what you usually pay for long distance and international
calls. Our rates are even cheaper than most other phone card
companies. Most importantly, we can assure you that you will
not be surprised by any hidden or unknown fees or charges. All
our rate information is clearly posted on our Rates page. There
are no hidden charges or fees. You will only be charged for the
calls that you make.
TOP
What is a connection fee?
A
connection fee is a charge that many phone companies charge
their users. This fee is a fixed amount that is charged each
time you make a phone call. We offer a variety of phone cards,
some with connection fees and some without, to best meet
your calling needs. Our company will not charge you a connection
fee unless you specifically choose a plan with such a fee
because it benefits you the most due to your calling patterns.
TOP
What are billing minimums?
Billing
minimums are the minimum number of minutes that you are charged
for even if you talk for less than that number of minutes.
We offer plans with no minimum billing as well as certain
plans with minimum billing for customers who know that they
will talk for more than the minimum and can take advantage
of the lower rate.
TOP
What are billing increments?
Billing
increments, also known as rounding, are minimum minutes charged
after the initial billing minimum. Depending on the plan
you choose, we offer 1 second rounding through 2 minute rounding
to suit all your calling patterns.

signature box, on the back of the your card. If you are using
an American Express card and the signature box does not have
such a number, the CVV2 number is the last three digits of

shown on the payment page.
TOP
What are taxes and maintenance/administrative fees?
All
phone companies are required to pay taxes to the government.
If you look on your residential phone bill you will see many

Why do I hear a "Recharge" message
when I try to use my phone card?
The
recharge message plays even if you have significant balance
left on your account. This recharge message is only played
to give you advance notification and provide you an opportunity
to recharge if you wish to do so. This does not mean that
you are out of minutes. The recharge message plays from the
time your balance is somewhat lower to the point even after
your balance reaches zero. If you do not wish to recharge,
and you still have balance on your account, after a
brief pause, normal prompts will play and you will be prompted
to enter your destination number. You can continue to use
your phone card in a normal fashion until you are ready to
recharge. You will be able to recharge even when the balance
is zero.
TOP
How do I know what the balance left on my phone card is?
Each time you dial our toll free
number and enter you PIN number, the balance remaining on your
phone card will be announced. As soon as you enter your destination
number, the number of minutes that your balance will allow you
to talk for will be announced. A warning message will be played
when you have one minute remaining and your call will be automatically
cutoff when your balance reaches zero. To avoid this, always
make sure that you have enough value on your phone card before
placing a call.
TOP
What
happens when my balance runs out? Can I refill/recharge my phone
card?
You
can recharge your phone card by visiting:
www.telecomservices.net/refill.html and filling out the form. You
can also recharge your phone card by dialing our access number
1 888 426 5825. To recharge, you cannot use VISA. You can
use MC, Amex, or Discover. When the balance is low, you get
prompts to enter your credit card number. Follow these prompts
to recharge. You can recharge even when the balance is zero.
TOP
When will the recharge amount be reflected on my pin number?
There are two different ways to refill/recharge:
Refill/Recharge
through web icon and Refill/Recharge through voice prompts. For
web recharge, it may take 2-4 hours and longer during late
night hours, for the recharge amount to reflect on your pin
number. However, if the refill/recharge is done through the
voice prompts, the recharge amount is reflected immediately
on your pin number. For voice recharge follow the prompts
after entering the pin number. Voice mode recharge is only
available after the balance falls below a certain level.
There is a service fee for the voice refill/recharge.

is there a surcharge if I use my phone card from a pay phone?

activated.
